Butler postmaster recommends early Christmas mailing
Butler Post Office postmaster Victoria Bowser recommends early mailing of holiday packages.
“We encourage all our customers to mail early with our Ground Advantage option which is the cornerstone of our retail options, however it may be less expensive to utilize our Priority Mail with free flat-rate boxes. It all depends on the weight and destination of your mailings,” Bowser said.
When mailing or shipping this holiday season, Bowser recommends that people plan ahead and check ship-by dates at usps.com/holidayshippingdates, verify addresses at usps.com/zip-code-lookup, and use Click-N-Ship at usps.com to compare USPS Ground Advantage, Priority Mail, and Priority Mail Express.
She also said items should be packaged securely before shipping and the address should be complete and legible.
