Mark R. Walker, 73, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at Embassy of Saxonburg.

He was born Nov. 12, 1952, in Butler, to the late Richard and Carol (Hindman) Walker. Carol survives.

Mark graduated from Knoch High School in 1970. Mark held several positions throughout his life. He worked for the Arapahoe Basin Ski Area as a condo manager. He was the owner of a store selling Vermont Castings woodburners. Mark also worked as a salesman for Nolan’s Recreational Vehicle Company. Then he worked for Home Depot in inventory control, until retiring in 2016.

Mark enjoyed skiing, running, camping, hiking and mountain biking, as well as spending time with his loving family.

He is survived by his mother, Carol (Hindman) Walker; his loving partner of 27 years, Susan Royal; his sister, Brenda (Bill) Becker; as well as by his aunts and cousins.

In addition to his father, Mark was preceded in death by his uncle, Rex (Nancy) Walker; as well as by his brother, Richard P. Walker.

WALKER — A visitation for Mark R. Walker, who died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.

A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation at 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15, at the funeral home, with Pastor Andy Smothers, of Glade Run Church, officiating.

A private burial will be held at Brownsdale Cemetery.
