The family of Kathy Jean Wyant, of Butler, shares with great sorrow her passing on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025. Kathy was a devoted mother, grandmother and friend whose compassion and generosity shaped every part of her life.

Kathy was born Aug. 3, 1952.

Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Ruth Ann Wyant. She is survived by her son, Larry Wyant Jr.; her daughter, Crystal Ridley, and her son-in-law, Bryan Ridley. She leaves behind two adoring granddaughters, Andriah Ridley and Zoey Wyant, who brought immense joy to her heart.

For more than 20 years, Kathy worked as a nurse, dedicating herself to caring for others with patience, gentleness and an unwavering sense of empathy. Those who knew her — patients, coworkers, friends and family — felt deeply the warmth she carried into every interaction.

Kathy was also known for her beautiful hand-embroidered tablecloths, lovingly made for family and friends. Each piece was a testament to her creativity, attention to detail and the heartfelt love she poured into her gifts.

Above all, Kathy will be remembered for her selfless spirit, thoughtful nature and the kindness she extended to everyone she met. She was a loving, devoted mother and friend whose influence and love will live on in all who were blessed to know her.
