No tax hike for Summit Township in 2026 budget
Summit Township residents will see their taxes remain the same after the 2026 budget was approved without any increase Wednesday, Dec 3.
According to township secretary Roxann Stickney, the township will have a balanced budget with general operating fund revenues and expenditures totaling $1,482,937. This is a roughly $125,000 decrease, or around 8%, from 2025’s total of $1,608,682.
“Road projects will be our biggest expense, and then, its usually road salt,” Stickney said about the township’s upcoming expenditures.
The current tax rate of 7.63 mills will remain the same.
