Murder mystery dinner has a holiday twist

The North Country Brewing Company is hosting an interactive show in its canning facility in Slippery Rock Township.

Courtney McNamara, the writer of “Murder Mystery Dinner: Elves Gone South,” explained that the show is a holiday-themed whodunit, where the audience tries to figure out the mystery alongside the characters. The plot centers on a group of elves who were sent to the South Pole for being delinquents and all become suspects after a sleigh is tampered with, leading to the death of a “Claws.”

“There are six of us, and they try to figure out who's the culprit,” McNamara said. “The actors interact with the audience and then they guess who they think did it.”

There’s a prize for whomever gets the closest, she said.

The show features Stephanie Cameron, Trish Canedy, Wes Carson, Nathan Rishel, Jenn Spryn, Fred Welton and McNamara.

The performance begins at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 15, at the North Country Brewing Company’s production facility, 111 Arrowhead Drive, Slippery Rock Township. Tickets can be purchased online at northcountrybrewing.com under the “events” tab.
