Charles ‘Ted’ Warsing

Charles Theodore “Ted” Warsing, 85, of Prospect, passed away Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, at his home.

Born in Butler County on Nov. 10, 1940, he was the son of the late Archie Bernard Warsing and Doris Lucille (Johnson) Warsing Hawk.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Ted was a man of many talents. He worked at the former Pullman Standard until it closed, then traveled through the South and the West as a welder and worked at various steel mills in the Pittsburgh area. He also drove a school bus for several years and was most recently employed by 422 Auto Sales.

He was known and loved by many as “Teddy bear, he don’t care.”

He enjoyed painting, listening to bands and music, working on his hot rod, sitting on the front porch waving to those passing by, riding his zero turn, tinkering in his garage, bowling, playing cards and playing lottery tickets.

He is survived by his daughters, Brenda Collins, of Butler, and Amy (Brian) Zang, of Prospect; his grandchildren, Tabitha (TJ) Scutt, Adam (Amber) Collins and Preston Ammon; great-grandchildren Gavin, Kamrie, Bently and Kyrie Scutt, and Kaylee, Austin, Chloe, Parker, Luke, Emmy and Archie Collins; and twin great-great-granddaughters due in March; his two sisters, Marilyn (Howard) McCloud and Susan Speer; and one brother, Thomas Hawk.

He was preceded in death by his father, Archie, and his stepmother, Ethel Warsing; his mother, Doris, and his stepfather, Raymond Hawk; a granddaughter; his sister, Audra Micheale “Mickey” Warsing; his brother, John Warsing; and his nephew, Michael Warsing.

WARSING — The family of Charles Theodore “Ted” Warsing, who died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2025, will receive friends from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect.

The family is planning an inurnment at Crown Hill Cemetery, Prospect, at a future date with military honors.
