Nurses, teachers, engineers are professionals

Here we go again! Another insult to the most needed and wanted professions in this country.

Nurses, teachers, engineers, technical workers, master of business, architects, etc., are no longer considered professionals?

Is this really true? Has our government gone completely mad?

I thought first that this was a bad joke. But no, it is true. We are no longer professionals. We worked hard and long and studied hours and hours to get where we are with the loans available to us. We are professionals!

The government would rather spend billions to reach its insane objectives to rid this country of innocent people who came here to find work, to feed their families and live without fear, hunger and torment. Our current government has lost its collective mind.

These actions are breaking people’s hearts, diminishing people who worked hard to get decent jobs.

I was a nurse for 40 years and I got my education because of student loans and government subsidies.

I worked hard and was always grateful for the opportunity to be in a profession where helping people is important.
