Man charged with breaking into home owners association clubhouse

A Cranberry Township man was arrested and charged with burglary and trespassing after police said he was found in an homeowner association clubhouse.

Anthony Edwards-Hickman, 19, was arrested by the Cranberry Township Police Department on Friday, Dec. 5, for an alleged break-in three months prior.

According to an affidavit, Cranberry police were dispatched the evening of Sept. 17 to the Park Place HOA clubhouse, located at 250 Bucktail Drive, for a trespass complaint. The HOA president told police that two men broke into the clubhouse and damaged a pool table light fixture.

Officers were given surveillance footage, which police said showed Edwards-Hickman jumping a fence and entering an unlocked door. Edwards-Hickman then opened the main entrance of the clubhouse and let in another individual. The affidavit said Edwards-Hickman broke the light fixture about an hour later.

The HOA president said the clubhouse is only for its members.

Edwards-Hickman was charged with felony counts of burglary and trespass.

He is awaiting a preliminary hearing in front of District Judge Kevin Flaherty.
