Christmas comes to Zelie with a ‘Toot toot’

Christmas spirit doesn’t arrive on its own in Zelienople — the Model Train Club of Zelienople helps bring it to the borough on wheels.

The club set up its “Polar Express” display this week, and unveiled it during Miracle on Main Street on Thursday, at the Harmony Lodge No. 429 F&AM, 330 E. Beaver St., Zelienople. The display is a “must-see for all ages,” and was scheduled to be open from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4 and Friday, Dec. 5, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6.

The display is free to view, and is a model that shows the “Polar Express” train as it travels around a huge seasonally decorated display on its way to the North Pole.
