Joan Lemmon Harbaugh
Joan Louise Richardson Lemmon Harbaugh, 93, of Butler, peacefully passed away Thursday morning, Dec. 4, 2025, at her residence while under hospice care.
Born Nov. 12, 1932, in Wexford, she was the daughter of the late George and Martha DeVries Richardson.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Evans City.
Joan retired as a school bus driver. She drove for 38 years, mostly for the Seneca Valley School District and for a couple of years for the Slippery Rock Area School District.
She enjoyed gardening, bingo and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. Harbaugh, whom she married July 23, 2002; her children, Arlene (Harry) Toner, of Butler, Patricia (Don) Rager, of Colorado, Daniel (Brenda) Lemmon, of Florida, and Gerald (Sharon) Lemmon, of Prospect; stepchildren Vicki (Ken) Frishkorn, of Zelienople, and Chuck (Emeril) Harbaugh, of Cranberry Township; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 10 stepgrandchildren; six stepgreat-grandchildren; one sister, Cindy McMinn; four brothers, John, Bob, Joe and Mike Grupp; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James E. Lemmon, whom she married May 6, 1950, and who passed away May 22, 1999; son, James Lemmon Jr.; stepdaughter, Connie Schwirian; sister, Marilyn Vernier; and three brothers Dave, Bill and Ken Grupp.
LEMMON HARBAUGH — Visitation for Joan Louise Richardson Lemmon Harbaugh, who died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025, will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 8, at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 387 Main St., Prospect. The funeral service will be at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
Private entombment will take place at Greenlawn Burial Estates, Butler.
