Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center staging holiday plays
Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center in Midland is ending the year with a roundup of festive holiday offerings.
“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever!” will be staged Dec. 5 to 7, 12 to 14 and 19 to 21, but all performances are sold out.
Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker” will take the stage Dec. 12 to 14 and 19 to 21 at the MainStage Theater. Featuring such iconic selections as “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” and “Waltz of the Flowers,” the ballet is filled with “dazzling costumes and breathtaking choreography to sweep you into the magic of the season,” said a news release from Lincoln Park.
River City Brass will return once again to the Mainstage Theater with its traditional holiday concert, “Holiday Brasstacular,” on Dec. 17. The musicians will deck the halls with yuletide carols played by brass instruments.
Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center is partnering with Best of the Batch Foundation this holiday season and is inviting all patrons attending “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” or “The Nutcracker” to bring a new, unwrapped toy to contribute to the annual Batch A Toys holiday drive. Best of the Batch Foundation provides more than a dozen programs serving children and their families across nine counties in Southwestern Pennsylvania.
