James “Jim” P. Doctor, 61, of Lyndora, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025.

He was born in Butler on July 8, 1964, to the late John and Amelia (Pollock) Doctor.

Jim liked to watch old war movies and enjoyed being outdoors. He was a member of American Legion Post 778 and the Slovak Club of Lyndora. He had many friends and family who he was close to, and who will miss him dearly.

Jim was the brother of Mary Ann (Donald) Criley; uncle of Michael and John Doctor, Donald W. Criley III, Joseph M. Criley and Dawn Wise.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, John J. Doctor.

DOCTOR — Family and friends of James “Jim” P. Doctor, who died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2025, will be received from noon to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler. A Blessing service will immediately follow in the funeral home.
