Anyone interested in participating in the New Year's Eve Harmony Silvester Celebration 5K race has until Dec. 8 to register to guarantee they will receive a shirt. Registration will be open through race day, but the availability of shirts is not guaranteed after Dec. 8.

The 5K race starts at 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 31 in the borough square, followed by a 1-Mile Fun Run at 4:15 p.m. At 6 p.m., there will be a ball drop in the borough square, coinciding with midnight in Germany, which will be followed by fireworks.

Other activities throughout the evening include vendors, and a Christmas tree and wreath toss.
