A man was reportedly shot in the area of Whitmire Avenue in the city of Butler late Friday, Nov. 28, according to Butler County Emergency Services Dispatch reports.

A medical helicopter took the man to a Pittsburgh hospital following the approximately 10:15 p.m. 911 call about a man with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, the scanner traffic indicates.

The Butler City Police Department was not immediately available for comment.
