Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Nov. 14 — Michael William Talarico, 41, of Bethel Park, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of controlled substance possession and drug paraphernalia possession following an Oct. 24 incident. Police said Talarico had two cut straws with white powder residue and three Xanax pills.
Nov. 10 — Ronald Lee Piper, 49, of Hilliards, was charged with misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession following a Nov. 8 incident. Police said Piper had two hypodermic needles and roughly a dozen pills.
Nov. 10 — Marilyn Kennedy, 55, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor accident involving damage following a Nov. 8 crash. Police said Kennedy crashed into a vehicle and left the scene.
Nov. 12 — Melissa Marie Ofchinick, 51, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following a Nov. 12 incident. Police said Ofchinick threw a chair at a man.
Nov. 15 — Shawndell Jael Zapata, 23, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct following a Nov. 14 incident. Police said Zapata attacked a man.
Nov. 10 — Maxence Olivier Truche, 23, of Cranberry Township, was charged with misdemeanor furnishing drug-free urine following a Nov. 5 incident. Police said Truche had a small soaplike bottle with suspected urine.
Nov. 12 — Amaria N. Holmes, 24, of Akron, Ohio, was charged with two felony counts of criminal conspiracy and two misdemeanor counts of receiving stolen property following July 21 and Aug. 8 incidents. Police said Holmes stole $2,758 in merchandise from Kohl’s in two instances.
Nov. 12 — Neamiya Reyner-Marie Jackson, 25, of Akron, Ohio, was charged with felony criminal conspiracy and misdemeanor receiving stolen property following a July 21 incident. Police said Jackson stole $1,223 in merchandise from Kohl’s.
Nov. 12 — Nia Simone Wemmer, 23, of Akron, Ohio, was charged with felony criminal conspiracy and misdemeanor receiving stolen property following an Aug. 8 incident. Police said Wemmer stole $1,535 in merchandise from Kohl’s.
Nov. 12 — Kilvio Serrata Vasquez, 44, of Cranberry Township, was charged with misdemeanor false identification to law enforcement following an Oct. 19 incident. Police said Seratta Vasquez gave police a false name, birth date and social security number.
Nov. 14 — Anthony Christian, 44, of Canal Winchester, Ohio, was charged with one felony count each of receiving stolen property and access device fraud following a July 26 incident. Police said Christian used a woman’s debit card for a $1,537.90 purchase without permission.
Nov. 10 — Leigh A. Richwalls, 49, of Valencia, was charged with misdemeanor reckless endangerment following an Oct. 10 incident. Police said Richwalls was using illegal substances around someone who needs 24/7 care.
Nov. 10 — Joseph J. Zunic Jr., 54, of Tarentum, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of harassment and disorderly conduct following a Nov. 4 incident. Police said Zunic violated a protection from abuse order.
Nov. 10 — Denise Lynn McCommon, 33, of Butler, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and institutional vandalism following a Nov. 10 incident in Center Township. Police said McCommon was combative with first responders and hospital staff, pulled away from officers, kicked between patrol car seats and spit on the seats of a patrol car.
Nov. 12 — Ricky Allen Houk II, 38, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following an April 13, 2024, traffic stop in Butler Township. Police said Houk had a blood alcohol content of 0.189%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Nov. 12 — Steven Michael Sheptak, 40, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a following a Nov. 9 traffic stop in Jefferson Township. Police said Sheptak had a blood alcohol content of 0.24%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Nov. 14 — John Alan Grieb, 55, of Butler, was charged with two DUI counts following a Sept. 6 traffic stop in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Grieb had a blood alcohol content of 0.161%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
