The Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV is hosting its third annual sensory-friendly early intervention family night with Santa Claus Friday, Dec. 5.

The evening, which will be held at the MIU building at 453 Maple St. in Grove City, is designed to celebrate and support the families whose children receive early intervention services.

Children will have a chance to meet Santa in a calm, supportive environment. The event reflects the early intervention program’s efforts to support children’s growth through embedded instruction.

By participating in learning opportunities in play, routines and family activities, children practice important skills such as communication, motor development and social interaction in fun and meaningful ways.
