Rebecca Stroup
Rebecca Stroup, 80, of Hilliards, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Jan. 19, 1945, in Weston, W.Va.
She enjoyed puzzles, word and number searches, and riding side-by-sides. She loved playing Yahtzee, at which she was well known for cheating. She had the toughest occupation in the world… stay-at-home mother. She and Garry loved their heeler dogs and drove them around several times a week, spotting deer.
She married Garry Stroup in June of 1989, who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children, Candace (Scott) Mertzeis, of Columbia, S.C., David Campbell and partner, Linda Varva, of New Kensington, and Paula Campbell, of Hooker; two stepchildren, Kristin (Nathan) Truitt, of Georgia, and Steve (Brandi) Stroup, of Chicora; her grandchildren, Erin, Adam and Amber; stepgrandchildren, Jessica, Amanda, Cody, Dillon, Preston and Laurel; one great-granddaughter, Nora; and stepgreat-grandkids, Riley, Baylee, Harlow, Rhett and Ellie.
