Gordon L. Stetzer, 85, of Butler, passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2025.

He was born in Butler on Oct. 15, 1940, to the late Vernon and Mary (Bauer) Stetzer.

Gordon was a Butler High School graduate, Class of 1959. He worked at ARMCO as a general foreman from 1959 to 2000 and then as a Valley Bus Lines driver.

He was known for being very outgoing and always enjoyed meeting and talking with anyone. Gordon enjoyed working on cars, especially his ’32 Plymouth Street Rod, model trains, watching NASCAR, Westerns and sports. He was a self-taught woodworker, making many wonderful projects over the years.

Gordon was the beloved husband of Margie (Lasichak) Stetzer, since their marriage on July 15, 1961; father of Michael (Diana) Stetzer; brother of Joyce (John) Rodgers; grandfather of Matthew Stetzer and Shelby (Ian) Bergbigler; and great-grandfather of Eli and Graham Bergbigler.

Along with his parents, Gordon was preceded in death by his brothers, Dale and Dick Stetzer.

STETZER — All services for Gordon L. Stetzer, who died Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
