BC3 women’s volleyball takes home 7th at NJCAA national championships, sweeps Northampton CC

Butler County Community College women’s volleyball closed out the season with a win, ending one of the best years in program history with another top-10 finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association tournament.

BC3 swept Northampton Community College 3-0 (set scores: 25-23, 25-22, 25-16) Saturday in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in the seventh-place match.

Josie Russo had a match-high 15 kills, and Dakota Weldon added 11. The No. 3 Pioneers, who finished the year 24-2 with both losses coming in the national championship tournament, had eight aces, including two each from Anora Robare and Summer Haney. Robare dished out 32 assists from her setter position.

Longtime head coach Rob Snyder ends the season 502-174 in his career so far. He won his 500th game when the Pioneers clinched a spot in nationals.

In five appearances, BC3 has finished fifth, sixth twice, ninth and now seventh.
