A Slippery Rock woman sustained injuries in a crash between a semitruck and a pickup truck around 6:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 6, in Slippery Rock Township.

The crash occurred at the intersection of Route 8 and Branchton Road when both vehicles were stopped at stop signs facing each other. Police said Steven J. Miller, 37, of Slippery Rock, driving a Peterbilt Fleet, was struck by the Ram 1500 of Jill Diana Schooley, 48, of Slippery Rock.

Police said Schooley sustained an injury of unknown severity, but was not taken to a hospital.

Police said as Miller was attempting to turn left, Schooley was traveling straight and failed to yield. The vehicles struck each other while traveling at around 10 mph.
