Sprankle’s CampOut raises $10,000 for Salvation Army
A CampOut for Community check for $10,000 will be presented to the Salvation Army on Nov. 5 at the Sprankle’s Neighborhood Market store in Leechburg.
The presentation will begin at 11 a.m. at the store, 113 Third Ave., Leechburg.
The funds were raised through customer support with direct donations or combining 10% of sales on CampOut for Community Day on Aug. 29 at the chain’s three locations — Saxonburg, Leechburg and Kittanning.
The amount is being matched by Pennsylvania Skills Games for a total of $20,000 to benefit the Salvation Army.
“In the current environment of food insecurity, due to our government shutdown, these funds are crucial,” Sprankle’s said in a news release.
The check presentation also will be broadcast live on Sprankle’s Facebook page.
