Nancy Ellen Landers Young, 76, of Foxburg, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, Oct. 30, 2025, at Quality Life Services — Grove City, following a long and challenging battle with Alzheimer’s disease.

Nancy was born in Emlenton on Feb. 15, 1949. She was the daughter of the late Samuel G. and Josephine McCartney Landers and was the youngest of nine children. She graduated from Allegheny-Clarion Valley High School in 1967. She was a lifelong member of the Memorial Church of Our Father in Foxburg.

Mrs. Young worked as a beautician and local wedding photographer. She enjoyed swimming, nature photography, painting, and planting and tending to her flower gardens.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert E. Young, of Harrisville, whom she married at the Memorial Church of Our Father in Foxburg on May 21, 1977. Also surviving is a son, Timothy Young and his wife, Katie, of Grove City; a sister, Janice E. Landers, of Franklin; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Nancy was looking forward to the birth of her twin grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Samuel D. Landers, Bennie G. Landers, Joseph E. Landers, Fredrick C. Landers, Sylvan J. Landers, Joy A. Landers and Josephine Landers Brown.

YOUNG — Friends of Nancy Ellen Landers Young, who died Thursday, Oct. 30, 2025, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 5, at HILE FUNERAL HOME, 802 Grove St., St. Petersburg. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Geoffrey Wild, pastor of the Memorial Church of our Father, officiating.

Interment will be in Perryville Cemetery.
