The Cranberry Sunrise Rotary Club recently honored students from Rowan Elementary School as the September and October Students of the Month

James Frost is the September Student of the Month.

Addilyn Deer is the October Student of the Month.

The Sunrise Rotary Club has been honoring the Student of the Month at Rowan Elementary since 2008. To date, the program has recognized more than 155 fourth-grade students who exemplify the Rotary motto of “Service above Self.”

The Student of the Month program recognizes exemplary students who demonstrate kindness, respect, support of their fellow students and commitment to their school, according to the Cranberry Sunrise Rotary Club.

Students were recognized at a celebration breakfast on Thursday, Oct. 16, that included parents, siblings, grandparents, school administrators, teachers, faculty and multiple Rotarians.

Each student received an award certificate. Their names are also placed on an award placard, which is displayed in the school.
