A backhand at Cranberry’s pickleball dome

Cranberry Township's pickleball dome is in Graham Park. Submitted photo

That is a great look for Graham Park, a hideous white bubble. The eyesore is back at the pickleball winter venue.

Some facts on the pickleball at Graham Park. It is now pay to play, our township and the almighty buck strikes again. The public funds spent per year to operate by the Cranberry Township Pickleball Association is $150,000.

This does not even take in account the cost of the white bubble. How much did and does that cost us on a yearly basis? I feel this is very large investment for so few residents.

All profits from this, as the township states, partnership should be public funds and should have oversight on all spending.

My opinion the association spends like a drunken sailor, stop by and look at the pickleball venue it is a Taj Mahal. Do we need that here? I feel it benefits so few people for the expenditure, while the rest of the parks sees little benefit.
