Norman Frederick

Norman E. Frederick, 92, of Zelienople, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2025.

Born Jan. 3, 1933, in Lancaster Township, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Pearl Devona (Scheidemantle) Frederick.

Norman was a lifetime member of Grace Church of Harmony and taught Sunday school for many years, as well as being an elder member, and past president of the Consistory. For over 20 years, Norman was Zelienople’s Santa Claus for every winter event. He was part of the Grace Church softball team. He also enjoyed family picnics and backyard volleyball. Norman regularly volunteered as a mover of furniture for VOICE. From 1957 to 1982, Norman worked for Crucible Steel. From 1989 to 1998, Norman had also worked for the SWBCSA.

Norman leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 68 years, Leah G. “Till” (Allmann) Frederick; his children, Kenneth E. (Ruth Anne) Frederick, Marlene (Bob) Brennan, Alan A. (Darla) Frederick, Doug R. (Judy) Frederick and Sally (Roger) Reichert; his 17 grandchildren; his 17 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Wilda Clawson.

In addition to his parents, Norman was preceded in death by his sister, Edith Hall.

FREDERICK — Friends and family of Norman E. Frederick, who died Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

Additional visitation will take place from 2 p.m. until the service with military honors at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at Grace Church of Harmony, 538 Main St., Harmony, PA 16037.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Norman’s memory to the Grace Church Mission Fund.
