Patricia Jean “Pat” Strutt, 97, of Lancaster Township, passed away Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, while under the care of UPMC Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born Dec. 16, 1927, in Parkersburg, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Howard C. Lemley and Margaret Craig Casteel.

Pat was a faithful member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, where she sang in the choir and was the choir director for both the youth and adult choirs. She taught elementary music for Seneca Valley School District for many years until her retirement in 1990. Pat was involved in the local Traveler’s Club, Music Club and volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years. She also enjoyed playing bridge. Pat loved to sing and enjoyed musical theater. She sang in a local production of “The Sound of Music.” She and her husband, Gene, enjoyed dancing together. She also played the piano and organ. Above all, Pat was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and GiGi who will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughters, Stephanie (William) Pierret, of New Jersey, and Leslie Strutt, of Fombell; her son, Craig Strutt, of Ellwood City; her seven grandchildren, William Pierret II, Tania Pierret, Kevin (Amy) Pierret, Sarah “Maggie” Raible, Christopher Raible, David (Rachel) Strutt and Steven Strutt; her nine great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jin, Savanna, Eva, Sawyer, Luca, Arlo, Daniel and Marissa; her brother-in-law, Don Strutt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Pat was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, Lawrence Eugene “Gene” Strutt, whom she married Oct. 8, 1949, and who passed away Jan. 1, 2014; and her daughter, Starr Lynn Raible.

STRUTT — Friends of Patricia Jean “Pat” Strutt, who died Monday, Oct. 27, 2025, will be received for visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at Calvin Presbyterian Church, 415 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063, with the Revs. Dr. Graham N. Standish and A. David Paul officiating.

Pat will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Perry Township.
