Knoch hoops player holding 2 food drives at St. Luke’s in November
Prior to the start of his final season on Knoch High School’s basketball team, senior and team captain Teegan Finucan is holding a pair of “Hoops for Hunger” basketball workouts at St. Luke’s Lutheran School in Winfield Township.
Finucan, a National Honor Society member who set school records for scoring as a freshman and sophomore, is holding workouts from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, and from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 10. Those who sign up are asked to bring something to donate to St. Luke’s food pantry.
“A lot of this is just to improve the youth, basketballwise,” said Teegan. “My dad started his own AAU program for me when I was younger and seeing him go out of his way to make kids' lives better without making them pay is just what the world needs right now.”
The Google sign-up form is available here, and can be accessed through Finucan’s social media. Flyers will soon be distributed.
