Joseph Raymond Lucas, born Dec. 28, 1928, in Etna, passed away peacefully Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, in Mars. He was 96 years old. His final moments were spent in the comforting care of his daughter, Catherine.

Joseph was a devoted family man whose long life spanned nearly a century of profound change. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy P. Ford Lucas. Together, they built a life rooted in shared values and enduring commitment.

He is survived by his son, Joseph E. Lucas; daughters, Elaine Gray, Laurel Leitzel and Catherine Baxter; grandsons, William, Christopher, Lucas, Joshua and Jonathan; and great-grandsons, Owen and Carson.

Joseph was also predeceased by his grandson, Nathaniel.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him and joy to those who celebrate the life he lived.

LUCAS — Arrangements for Joseph Raymond Lucas, who died Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, are private under the direction of MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Burial will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
