James C. Welton, 58, of Karns City, (Roseville), died Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, at his home.

Born Dec. 24, 1966, he was the son of Carl L. “Sonny” and Vonnie R. (Farone) Welton.

Jay drove truck for many years for Savage Industries in Kennerdell and Goettler Distributing in Butler.

In October of 1991, Jay married the former Amy Jo Sirich, she preceded in her death in August 2024.

Jay was a devoted member of the National Rifle Association and a former East Brady volunteer fireman. He was a member of the “Roseville Ranch,” enjoyed hunting, buggy riding and spoiling Carson and Hadley.

He is survived by one daughter, Jaycee Welton, of Roseville; his mother, Vonnie Welton, of Roseville; one brother, Frank (Mandie) Farone, of Roseville; one aunt, Linda Fencil, of Chicora; and one uncle, Ronald Welton, of Kittanning.

He is also survived by his father-in-law, Steve Sirich, of East Brady; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Wendy Sirich, of Roseville; three nephews, Jake Sirich, Zach Sirich, Austin Farone; and two nieces, Meghan Sirich and Julianna Farone; and cousins, Derek and Paige Heeter.

Jay was preceded in death by his father; his wife; one brother, Eric Welton; and his grandmother, Elsie “Gigi” Welton.

WELTON — Friends of James C. Welton, who died Friday, Oct. 24, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 27, at BUECHELE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.

A blessing service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Alan Grote celebrating.

The Welton family asks that memorials be made in Jay’s name to the East Brady Volunteer Fire Department, 100 Graham St., East Brady, PA 16028.
