Mary Lou Pannell
Mary Lou Easley Pannell, 77, of Stephenville, Texas, passed away Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas.
Mary Lou was born in Chicora to Maurice James Easley and Mildred Neff Easley, on Aug. 27, 1948.
She attended Fairview Township-Karns City High School. After graduating from high school in 1966, she attended Clarion State College and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1970. In 1973, she received a Master of Science degree from Slippery Rock State College.
For 15 years, Mary Lou worked as a teacher in the Butler Area School District in Connoquenessing Elementary School. Active in her faith community, Mary Lou was a member and past president of the Butler chapter of Southwest Pennsylvanians for Human Life.
What began as simple correspondence to a stranger in Texas ended with a lasting relationship with a person she deeply loved. She married Patrick William Pannell, of Fort Worth, Texas, at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler, on April 13, 1985. She then moved to Arlington, Texas, with her husband. Seeking a quieter life, Patrick and Mary Lou moved to Morgan Mill, Texas, in 1992. For many years, she and her husband provided medical billing and business consultations to physician clients.
Mary Lou enjoyed country living, reading and following political and current events. She held memberships in Confraternity of the Rosary and Legion of Mary.
She is survived by her siblings, Joyce Wilson (the late Phil), Rose Ann Rattigan (the late Ben), Dottie Thomas, Connie Schawl (George), Maureen Easley-Pahler (Tom) and Edward Easley (Leeann); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 40 years.
