Donald Pritts

Pritts

Donald Clark Pritts, known to many by his stage name, Donnie Clark, a talented and beloved musician from Evans City, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2025.

Born Aug. 20, 1948, in Meyersdale, Pa., he was the son of the late Robert Clark Pritts and Dorothy Irene (Clark) Pritts.

Donnie’s musical journey began at a young age and he became known for his captivating performances and spot on impersonation of Elvis Presley at venues such as The Riverboat and Paradise Park in the 1980s. His talent and charisma lit up every stage he graced. Over the years, he collaborated with fellow musicians, released several country and gospel albums, and frequently performed at benefit events — bringing people together and raising funds for those in need. His efforts left a lasting mark on the local music scene.

Outside of music, Donnie was a man of many passions. Whether he was hunting, fishing or simply spending time with his loved ones, he brought warmth, humor and joy to every moment. His love for life and music touched everyone who knew him.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving girlfriend, Gloria Bowser, and their beloved Labrador, Precious, or as Donnie affectionately called her, his “Laprador,” often found snuggled on his lap in his recliner. He is also survived by his daughters, Bedonna (Troy) Erdlen and Dawn Renee Pritts; his grandchildren, Krysta Moore, Rylan Erdlen, Connor Cortese, Andrew Cortese, Emery Erdlen and Bryce Erdlen; his great-granddaughter, Blaikley; his sister, Barb O’Barto (Richard “OB”); and many nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his beloved sisters, Joyce (Pritts) Lollo and Cathy (Pritts) Young.
