College sports roundup: BC3 women’s volleyball finishes second straight undefeated regular season
Butler County Community College women’s volleyball closed out the regular season with a perfect 20-0 record for the second year in a row.
The Pioneers swept the Community College of Allegheny County 3-0 (25-4, 25-16, 25-13) on Wednesday. They are ranked No. 4 in the nation among junior colleges.
Josie Russo had 14 kills, with Anora Robare dishing out 36 assists. Molly Bissell and Sarah Lucas each had 13 digs.
BC3 heads into Saturday’s Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Championships as the top seed and seeking a 10th straight title. It will face the winner of CCAC and Pennsylvania Highlands Community College-Johnstown.
