Betti Jo Fennell, 58, of Hilliards, passed away Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Anyone who knew Betti Jo knew her as a vibrant soul, full of life and laughter. She cherished riding her Harley with her husband by her side and friends in tow, almost always getting caught in the rain. She also enjoyed camping and weekend trips to the casino. Her desire for life’s adventures and devotion to her family left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her devoted husband and soulmate of 18 years, Douglas Fennell; her daughters, Carissa McGinnis and companion Benjamin Abbott of Eau Claire and Caitlyn (Ryan) Householder of Midland, Texas; her loving parents, Thomas and Sharon McFadden of Eau Claire; and two brothers, Thomas McFadden of Grafton, W.Va., and Tim (Michelle) McFadden and their son, Tyler, of Hilliards.

Betti Jo, affectionately known as Grandma Boof, was the proud grandmother of Jerrik, Madison, Savannah, Gracelynn and Hudson, who were the light of her life.

Betti Jo’s life was filled with adventure, laughter and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

FENNELL — A celebration of life for Betti Jo Fennell, who died Monday, Oct. 20, 2025, will be held at a later date.
