Dozens of Ryan Gloyer Middle School students took part in a tree planting blitz around Cranberry Township on Wednesday, Oct. 22 as a way to create a greener future for their community.

For the third year in a row, teams of students dispersed from the Cranberry Township Municipal Center and into various neighborhoods to plant over 300 trees.

Seneca Valley said in a news release each tree is “a symbol of the shared commitment to a greener future,” and that the effort between the district and the township “highlights the strength of community partnerships in making a positive impact.”
