Mark Cunningham
Mark E. Cunningham, 63, of Grove City, passed peacefully at home in his sleep on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025.
Mark was born in Grove City, June 9, 1962, and was the son of H. Lee and Delores J. (Bain) Cunningham.
He was a graduate of Grove City High School, 1980; Grove City College, 1984; and he earned an MBA at the University of Pittsburgh in 1985.
Mark began his career as a risk analyst, working the first 10 years in Dearborn, Mich., with Ford Motor Company; moving to Chicago, Ill., with Household Finance Corp; and later transferring to San Diego, Calif., with Household/HSBC.
He returned to the local area in 2010 where he became senior vice president of enterprise risk management at First National Bank of PA, where he was currently working.
Mark was raised in Tower Presbyterian Church, and upon returning to the area became a member at East Main Presbyterian Church, where he served on the church finance committee.
Goal-oriented as a child, he was a member of Boy Scout Troop 41, where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout in 1978. Mark became a licensed private pilot, soloing a few weeks following his 16th birthday.
His hobbies included Hawaiian shirts, comic books, movies and researching technology, but most important to him was his role of being a father to his three daughters.
Mark is survived by his three daughters, Lauren (Ryan) Murphy, of Temecula, Calif., Faith Cunningham and Abigail “Abby” Cunningham, both of Grove City; his brother, Michael (Janice) Cunningham, of Grove City; and a niece, Jacquelyn (Nicolas) Elms, of Bradford Woods, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
CUNNINGHAM — Visitation for Mark E. Cunningham, who died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME, 306 Bessemer Ave, Grove City.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at East Main Presbyterian Church, 120 E. Main St., Grove City.
Burial will be at Woodland Cemetery, Grove City.
