James Senopole
James S. “Jim” Senopole, 85, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born July 17, 1940, and was the son to the late Anthony Senopole and Josephine (Liberto) Senopole.
Jim attended Ford City High School. He began his career with Beneficial, and later worked for Baltimore Life, where he dedicated 30 years of service. He was a member of All Saints Parish, St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church. Jim was also a lifetime member of the Butler Township Volunteer Fire Department.
An active member of the Butler Umpires Association, Jim officiated numerous sports, including basketball, baseball and football. He was also an avid bowler and participated in several local bowling leagues throughout the years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Esther (Hiles) Senopole, whom he married Nov. 21, 1964; sons, William (Debbie) Senopole and Jamie (Kim Darrell) Senopole; grandchildren, Cassie Senopole, Mason Senopole, Matthew (Sam McCoy) Senopole, Michael Senopole and Chelsea (Travis) Hill; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Payson, Brooklynn, Lily, Lukas, Landen, Chloe and Kaiya; brothers, Bill (Ginger) Senopole and Richard Senopole; sisters, Marie (Andrew) Roth and Phyllis (Joe) Dziedzie, and numerous nieces and nephews.
SENOPLE — A visitation for James S. “Jim” Senopole, who died Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, will be held from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 22, at THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at All Saints Parish, St. Andrew Roman Catholic Church, 1660 N. Main St. Ext., Butler. All are kindly asked to meet at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Butler Township VFD at 121 Sparks Ave., Butler, PA 16001.
