Denise Richards’ ex Aaron Phypers arrested outside court hearing
Denise Richards’ estranged husband Aaron Phypers is out on $200,000 bond after he was arrested outside a Los Angeles courthouse Friday afternoon.
The 53-year-old “frequency medicine” practitioner was leaving a heated hearing with the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum when he was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant, according to TMZ.
Phypers’ lawyer, Michael Finley, told the outlet that his client was unaware of the warrant, which is believed to be linked to Richards’ allegations of felony domestic violence.
Phypers paid the hefty bond and was released from the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station at around 9:15 p.m. local time, according to online records.
Richards, 54, currently has a temporary restraining order against her ex, which she secured in the days after Phypers filed for divorce in July. The actress-turned-OnlyFans star has alleged that she was subjected to ongoing physical abuse and death threats throughout their seven-year marriage.
Richards was in court Friday fighting for a permanent restraining order after claiming Phypers “almost killed” her “so many damn times,” and left her with “at least three concussions” over the course of their relationship.
Over the summer, she also accused him of violating the temporary restraining order by illegally leaking texts and nude photos her stole from her devices.
Phypers has denied the allegations, which he claims Richards concocted to distract from her alleged infidelity.

Keith Urban nodded to ‘relationship sacrifices’ in pre-divorce interview
Keith Urban acknowledged earlier this year that “relationship sacrifices” are part and parcel of music stardom — six months before Nicole Kidman begrudgingly filed for divorce.
When asked about the financial and physical concessions he’s had to make as part of his career, the 57-year-old Grammy winner told Entertainment Tonight in early 2025 that relationship hardships are also part of the deal. The outlet resurfaced the interview on Thursday.
The country singer’s remark suggests there was tension in his 19-year marriage with the 58-year-old Oscar winner, well before the couple separated this summer.
News of the split broke late last month, followed shortly thereafter by confirmation that the “Babygirl” actress filed for divorce, and that they’d already signed a “Marital Dissolution Agreement.”
An insider told People at the time that Kidman had “been fighting to save the marriage,” but to no avail.
Urban’s friends, meanwhile, viewed the end of the relationship as “kind of inevitable.”
Kidman and Urban — who share teen daughters Sunday and Margaret — submitted a parenting plan and child support worksheet along with the divorce filing, and have also agreed to take co-parenting classes.
Weeks ahead of word getting out about the couple’s troubles, Kidman mused to Vogue, “How many times do you have to be taught that you think you know where your life is going and then it isn’t going in that direction?”
Urban has not yet responded to speculation that he’s taken up with country artist Maggie Baugh. The 25-year-old played guitar on his tour earlier this year and recently shared a clip of Urban swapping out lyrics of his Kidman-inspired track, “The Fighter,” to shoutout Baugh.
French star Brigitte Bardot, 91, hospitalized with ‘serious illness’
French film star Brigitte Bardot has been hospitalized with “a serious illness” since late last month.
The 91-year-old former sex symbol and animal rights activist should be released in coming days after three weeks at a private hospital in Toulon, about 40 miles southwest of her home in Saint-Tropez, according to local outlet Var-Matin.
Despite her projected release, the BAFTA nominee’s “condition remains worrying” after she underwent “surgery in the context of a serious illness.”
Bernard d’Ormale, to whom Bardot has been married since 1992, told the outlet in summer 2023 that she was briefly under observation after firefighters treated her at their French Riviera home due to difficulty breathing.
Her breathing “was harder than usual but she didn’t lose consciousness,” d’Ormale said at the time.
“Like all people of a certain age, she can no longer bear the heat,” he explained of the then-88-year-old.
The “ … And God Created Woman” actress’ hospitalization comes on the heels of her Sept. 28 birthday and the release of her ABC book, “Mon BBcédaire.”
According to a translated description, the book “reveals an intimate and personal collection of definitions, written entirely by hand” and is “a testament to her character and extraordinary personality.”
Bardot’s legacy — following her retirement from the screen after 1973’s “The Edifying and Joyous Story of Colinot” — has been a thorny one. In 2020, she defended acclaimed French director Roman Polanski, who is wanted in the U.S. after pleading guilty in 1977 to statutory rape.
Over a decade earlier, in 2008, Bardot was herself caught in the crosshairs of the law when she was convicted of provoking discrimination and racial hatred of Muslims, for which she was fined over $23,000 and ordered to pay $1,555 in damages to a French NGO intended to combat racism.
