Rickey Feil Sr.

Rickey L. Feil Sr., 72, of Cranberry Township, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township, with his beloved family by his side.

He was born in Natrona Heights, March 30, 1953. He was the son of the late Leroy Brink and Rosemary Feil Durian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Sandy Feil and Debbie Elmquist; along with his grandson, Zachary Feil.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda D. Boyle Feil, whom he married Oct. 2, 1971; his three sons, Rickey Feil Jr. and Robert Feil (Martha), of Butler, and Ronnie Feil (Stephanie), of Cranberry Township; as well as his daughter, Renee Safreed (Jason), of Mars. He cherished his many grandchildren, April, Courtney, Taylor, Garrett, Tyler, Jakob, Morgan, Maddy, Cody and Breanna; along with his great-grandchildren, Alexa, Mason and Charlotte. He is also survived by his two brothers, Anthony Durian (Kathy), of Johnsburgh, Pa., and Joseph Durian (Amanda), of Wilcox, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Rickey was a chrome plater for Paul’s Chrome Plating for most of his life and most recently was a driver for Shults Ford in Wexford. He was a former fire chief and life member of the Callery Volunteer Fire Company, where he had served since 1983. He was a member of Crestview Community Church.

He loved to spend his time fishing, camping and playing cards with his family. He enjoyed classic cars and music as well. He cherished any time spent with his grandchildren whether it was their sporting events, dance recitals or just quality time. He was a beloved Steelers and Pirates fan.

FEIL — Friends and family of Rickey L. Feil Sr., who died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 20, at the MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, at the funeral home. Members of Callery VFC will hold a service Monday evening at 7:30 p.m.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery.
