Pennsylvania American Water receives $28.5 million PENNVEST loan for filters
Pennsylvania American Water recently announced it received over $64.3 million in Pennsylvania Infrastructure Investment Authority funding, with almost half coming to Butler County.
According to a release, the company will receive a $28.5 million loan toward a water filter improvement project. The project is intended to increase reliable capacity at the Oneida Valley Water Treatment Plant and to replace aging infrastructure.
The remainder of funds will support three water infrastructure improvement projects in Columbia, Fayette and Monroe counties.
