A Valencia man was transported to a hospital after being involved in a single-vehicle crash in which a car rolled over on Oct. 9 on Brewer Road in Clinton Township.

According to state police, Haley Merten, 19, of Saxonburg, was driving a Honda CRV with Joseph Hilliard, 38, of Valencia, as a passenger, along with two children. While driving north on Brewer Road at around 2:15 p.m. Oct. 9, the vehicle crossed into the southbound lane while negotiating a bend in the road, and struck a tree head-on after overcompensating in returning to the correct lane.

The vehicle rolled onto its driver’s side before coming to a stop. The road was closed to traffic near the site of the crash as crews dealt with the damage.

Hilliard was transported to Allegheny General Hospital by Saxonburg Volunteer Fire Company Ambulance to be treated for a suspected serious injury.
