Police reports
The following items were collected from various police departments and district courts:
Oct. 3 — Karim Ahmed Abdel Naim, 37, of Cranberry Township, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault following an Oct. 2 incident. Police said Abdel Naim slapped a woman on the left side of her face.
Oct. 5 — Shaun David Thomas, 21, of Baden, was charged with felony fleeing police and misdemeanor DUI following an Oct. 5 crash. Police said Thomas did not stop for police and had a blood alcohol content of 0.096%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Oct. 9 — Max Paul Hemmis, 21, of Hermitage, was charged with two misdemeanor counts of furnishing liquor to a minor following a Sept. 20 incident in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Hemmis gave minors bottles of Malibu original white rum and New Amsterdam passion fruit vodka.
Oct. 9 — Bryant Chris Johnson, 18, of Verona, was charged with one misdemeanor count each of theft and receiving stolen property following an Oct. 3 incident in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Johnson stole Apple AirPods valued at $150.
Oct. 9 — John Matthew Kenneally, 43, of Portersville, was charged with misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession following a Sept. 6 traffic stop in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Kenneally had a clear glassine bag with white and brown residue.
Oct. 9 — Megan Renee Swartz, 39, of Ford City, was charged with misdemeanor DUI following an Aug. 9 incident in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Swartz tested positive for THC.
Oct. 9 — Jason M. Columbus, 41, of Slippery Rock, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a July 7 crash in Slippery Rock Township. Police said Columbus had a blood alcohol content of 0.169%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Oct. 9 — Hugh McClellan, 45, of Butler, was charged with felony theft following a March 17 incident in Slippery Rock Township. Police said McClellan failed to pay a Slippery Rock Golf Club membership fee of $3,000.
Oct. 9 — Brandy Lynn Godber, 32, of Butler, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following an Aug. 12 incident. Police said Godber had a blood alcohol content of 0.214%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
Oct. 9 — Terry R. Galloway Jr., 42, of Waynesburg, was charged with misdemeanor unauthorized vehicle use following a Sept. 30 incident in Mercer Township. Police said Galloway borrowed a vehicle and did not return it.
Oct. 10 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash around 11 p.m. on Route 422 in Clearfield Township. Police said Cole M. Clark, 25, of Cowansville, was driving a Ford F-150 XLT when he pulled in front of the Ford Ecosport of Leah K. Brison, 20, of Worthington. Police said Worthington suffered suspected minor injuries.
Oct. 12 — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash around 1 p.m. on Moran Road in Summit Township. Police said David R. Lewis Jr., 51, of Fenelton, was driving a Chevrolet Sonic along a right downhill curve at around 20 mph in wet conditions when the rear portion of the vehicle began to slide. Police said the vehicle crashed into an embankment and rolled over before coming to rest on the driver’s side. Police said the driver and passenger, Shani L. Lewis, 53, of Fenelton, were not wearing seat belts. Both sustained suspected minor injuries. Shani Lewis was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Oct. 14 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash around 8:30 p.m. on North Duffy Road in Center Township. Police said Lilyana M. Wong, 22, of Renfrew, was turning onto Timothy Lane in a Chrysler 200, failed to yield and struck the Chevrolet Malibu of Regan M. Borsh, 19, of Pittsburgh. Police said Borsh and her passenger, Kaylee N. Shaw, 19, of Duquesne, sustained suspected minor injuries and were treated at Butler Memorial Hospital. Borsh’s second passenger, Luke M. Longmore, 18, of Wexford, also sustained suspected minor injuries but was not treated at a hospital.
Oct. 9 — Chase Michael Wearing, 23, of Evans City, was charged with two misdemeanor DUI counts following a Sept. 6 traffic stop in Jackson Township. Police said Wearing had a blood alcohol content of 0.143%. The legal limit in Pennsylvania is 0.08%.
