George Kuhn
George E. Kuhn, 86, of Linden, Mich., passed away Saturday, Oct. 11, 2025.
George was born July 19, 1939, in Evans City, to the late George and Claudine (Albert) Kuhn. He graduated from Mars High School, Class of 1958. He married his high school sweetheart, Kay Oesterling, on April 23, 1960.
George worked at Herman Pneumatic in Zelienople and was sent to Detroit to install equipment at the Budd Co. where he was offered a position. They moved to Detroit and were soon blessed with four children.
From a young age, George exemplified a strong work ethic. George and Kay were DIYers and restored a number of homes, giving them a second life. As busy as he was, he always took the time to be a dependable husband and father. He couldn’t claim to be a religious man, but he believed in good morals and respected the Ten Commandments.
George loved fall for its beautiful colors and crisp weather, especially around Columbus Day. A lifelong enthusiast of football, he was a devoted Lions fan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kay Kuhn; four children, Sheila (Ken) Baker, Brian Kuhn, Brenda (Allen) Matthews and Leslie (Ken) Johns; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and other dear family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janet.
