Edythe Burger

Edythe Mae (Double) Burger, 96, of Prospect, passed away Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at The Orchard, Butler, where she was on hospice care.

Born Oct. 4, 1929, in Harmony, she was the daughter of the late Russell L. and Catherine C. Bieber Double.

She was retired from the Butler Eagle, where she worked from 1965 to 1995 as an advertising saleswoman.

Edythe enjoyed being outside, especially mowing grass.

She is survived by her daughter, Marjorie (David) Carey, of Butler; her daughter-in-law, Cindy Rape, of Evans City; two grandsons, Brian Natali and Aaron (Shelley) Natali, of Evans City; two great-grandsons, James (Taylor) Natali, of Butler, and Dominic Natali, of Asheville, N.C.; and her sister, Thelma Jean Guntrum, of Butler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Rape; sister, Lois Roth; and her brother, Robert Double.

BURGER — Visitation for Edythe Mae (Double) Burger, who died Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at RAISLEY FUNERAL HOME, 387 Main St., Prospect.

The blessing service will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home, with Deacon Mitch Natali officiating.

Private interment will be in Zion’s English Lutheran Cemetery, Middle Lancaster, Pa.
