Carole H. Mussig, 81, of Zelienople, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born Aug. 8, 1944, in Ambridge, she was the daughter of the late John and Marcella (Marr) Hanlon.

Carole was a member of English Lutheran Church for 63 years, where she volunteered for their Community Meals. She was a part of Girl Scout Troop 508. Her life revolved around working in her greenhouse, having owned one for 35 years. She was a dog lover and a compassionate woman who was always there for everyone. Above all, she deeply loved her family and grandchildren.

Carole leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband of 63 years, Julian (Sonny) Mussig, whom she married Sept. 25, 1962; her children, John (Susan) Mussig, Marcy Mussig and Lori Dawson; her grandchildren, Robin (Chuck) Rager and Mark (Julia) Mussig; and her sisters, Jeanne Barto, Doris (Babe) Kenny and Ruth Hanlon.

In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her sister, Joanne Leitholf; and her son-in-law, Chris Dawson.

MUSSIG — Family and friends of Carole H. Mussig, who died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2025, will be received from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at English Lutheran Church, 200 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, PA 16063.

Carole will be laid to rest privately at English Lutheran Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carole’s memory to the Community Meals through English Lutheran Church, or to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.

Arrangements have been entrusted to BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME, Zelienople.
