Parry

David John Parry, 83, of Gibsonia, sadly passed away Monday, Oct. 13, 2025.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., on Nov. 1, 1941, he was the son of the late David T. and Blodwen Williams Parry.

David was the beloved husband for 53 years of the late Mary Ellen Ringlein Parry; loving father of Lauren Trievel (Brian), Alyn Parry (Victoria) and Jennifer Polena (Mark); and brother of Peter Parry (Eileen). He was the dear grandfather of Jessica, Lindsey, David and Abigail. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

David was a graduate of Slippery Rock State College with a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in chemistry. He taught at Hampton High School for 39 years, where he was the drama club sponsor and high school musical director. He was passionate about education and earned the Teachers Excellence Award in 1998 and 1999.

David was a member of the Free Masons, Shriners, and Shriners Bagpipe Band, where he served as president and treasurer. He was also a DeMolay Master Councilor.

David spent his summers working with his children on house projects, including an addition on their home and an extensive garden with retaining walls. He was a licensed soccer coach and loved training his children and their friends. David loved music theater and even met his late wife in a production of “Superman.” He enjoyed road trips in his Miata and Corvette, especially at this time of year to see the fall leaves. He will be remembered for his quick wit and the stories he loved to tell so effortlessly.
