Butler County Republican Committee changes name
The Butler County Republican Committee is changing its name.
The committee name was changed to Butler County Republican Committee of Pennsylvania to distinguish it from the seven other Butler County Republican Committee groups in the U.S., according to a Tuesday, Oct. 7, news release.
“For over a year, our members have discussed a name change that would make Butler County stand out,” chairman Jim Hulings said. “We’re proud of our leadership role in local and state politics, and this new name reinforces our strong Pennsylvania identity.”
The committee represents more than 82,000 Republican voters in the county and supports conservative candidates by promoting voter registration and encouraging early and mail-in voting, according to the news release.
