Florence Lawther, 88, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Richland Township, passed away Friday afternoon, Oct. 3, 2025, in the comfort of her home with her family at her side.

Born in Richland Township on July 5, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lillian Stockline Mills.

Florence had been a custodian for the Pine-Richland School District and attended Oak Hill Alliance Church in Cranberry Township.

Surviving are her husband, Harold Rodney Lawther, whom she married Jan. 10, 1959; her daughter, Donna Lynn Lawther of Cranberry Township; a sister, Joan Allman of Mars; a brother, Edward C. Mills of New Florence, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Coon, Jean Adams, Lillian McWilliams, Mary Hornick and Bessie Rowan; and by her brothers, John W. Mills and Walter Mills.

LAWTHER — Friends of Florence Lawther, who died Friday, Oct. 3, 2025, will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

A service will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Dan Aluise officiating.

Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Township.
