One student received minor injuries after a school bus and another vehicle crashed on Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 7, near the intersection of Rattigan and Conerty roads in Donegal Township.

Karns City Area School District superintendent Eric Ritzert said Bus 211, a nine-passenger vehicle, had two students on board during the crash.

One student received minor injuries and was transported to Butler Memorial Hospital as a precaution, Ritzert said.

According to Butler County Emergency Services, the call for the crash came in at around 4 p.m. Responding crews called for additional response from Butler EMS shortly after.

Weather conditions at the time of the crash were a light drizzle causing wet roads.

Chicora fire chief Cody Craig said the exact cause of the crash is still under investigation by state police.

Ritzert said the other student and both drivers involved were being evaluated.

State police and Butler EMS also responded to the crash.
