Francis “Louie” Byers, 101, passed away Friday, Sept. 26, 2025.

He was born in Saxonburg on June 3, 1924, to the late William and Elsie (Drescher) Byers.

Louie graduated from Butler High School and then honorably served in the U.S. Navy as an aviation electrician. After the Navy, he was employed as a quality control inspector. He loved to garden and travel.

Louie was the brother of Paul, Richard and Arthur Byers, Betty Vogel, and Lynee Schoentag. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

BYERS — All services for Francis “Louie” Byers, who died Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, will be held privately through SPENCER D. GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 140 New Castle Road, Butler.
