Buffalo Township man accused of rape near mobile home park

A Buffalo Township man is accused of raping a 15-year-old girl last summer in the area of Jack’s Mobile Home Park, police said.

Derrian Gene Alcorn, 27, was charged Monday, Sept. 29, with three felony counts of rape and one felony count each of statutory sexual assault, sexual assault, corruption of minors and criminal solicitation following the incident which occurred around July 20, 2024.

Buffalo Township police said the alleged assault was reported about two days after the incident, when the girl was being taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital.

Police said the girl was in the Freeport area on July 18 and 19 house-sitting with a friend. Police said the girl and her friend had been drinking alcohol at the home, and the girl left the home and walked to Freeport Community Park to meet Alcorn and retrieve more alcohol.

According to police, Alcorn and the girl met at the park, where he gave her a bottle of Pink Whitney vodka. Police said Alcorn drove the girl to the area of Jack’s Mobile Home Park and later dropped her off at a BP station near Freeport.

Police said the girl did not remember if the assault took place in Alcorn’s residence at the mobile home park or in Alcorn’s vehicle because of her intoxication. She reported the assault to a friend the next day, police said.

According to the affidavit, the girl and Alcorn had been communicating using Snapchat. The girl had previously declined when Alcorn asked for explicit photos, according to police.

Alcorn’s preliminary hearing before District Judge Jack Ripper has not yet been scheduled.
